Job Description for UI Designer/Developer III
UI Designer/Developer III designs web pages and develops web-based technical solutions that engage users and meet business requirements. Handles projects from conceptualization through delivery. Being a UI Designer/Developer III develops and applies creative designs, ensuring that content meets brand standards and targets the intended audience. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, UI Designer/Developer III tests and improves site usability while ensuring optimal performance on a variety of browsers. Requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as HTML, Shockwave, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Flex, Adobe Flash, JavaScript, CSS, Ruby, Python, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The UI Designer/Developer III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
